Linamandla’s Drive To Joy

When the time came to reveal her dream, four-year-old Linamandla immediately stopped playing and ran full speed ahead to her brand-new ride-on car. The toddler from Mdantsane is bravely living with a congenital heart defect and still takes on each day with wondrous energy and joy. Her face lit up with pure joy as she stepped into her car and checked out all the different buttons. She found the button that plays music and started dancing, bringing joy and touching emotions to her mother and brother who shared the special moment with her.

Elijah, World’s Best Firefighter

Eight-year-old Elijah from Chatsworth, lives with a rare soft tissue cancer and has a deep passion for firefighting. He dreams of one day becoming a firefighter and helping to make the world a safer place with his water hose. His special dream day took place at the Umhlanga Fire Station during his one-week discharge from hospital. He was taken for a tour around the station, took an exciting slide down the famous fireman’s pole and tried on the firefighter uniform, to look the part for a big day of fighting fires. After a busy day putting out fires, Elijah revealed his dream laptop and ended his day with a huge smile on his face.

Al-Mumin Takes To The Skies With His Drone

Exploring nature brings Al-Mumin calm and happiness. With a curious mind, he enjoys figuring things out and loves tech. He spent his dream day at a nature reserve, his love for animals reflected on the big smile he had throughout the day. His dream drone was revealed and Al Mumin immediately tried it out, controlling the nifty gadget like a pro. With his new drone, Al Mumin’s curiosity will reach new heights.

Gordon wins the Jetour X70!

The 2025 raffle was made possible through a partnership with Jetour South Africa, who contributed the grand prize Jetour X70 Plus Momentum
The winner, Gordon McTavish, an architect from Kloof in Durban, purchased five raffle tickets at R200 each. A car enthusiast, McTavish said he entered the raffle hopeful yet realistic, knowing that his participation supported a meaningful cause regardless of the outcome.

McTavish took a trip to Johannesburg with his family for the official vehicle handover at Jetour in Centurion. On arrival, he was presented with the keys by a Jetour South Africa representative.

“This is really mine, I can’t believe it,” McTavish said at the handover. A self-described technology enthusiast, he added that he was looking forward to exploring the features of the seven-seater SUV.
